Counseling provides a safe place for you to process and work through a multitude of circumstances while offering valuable insight and perspective into whatever journey you may find yourself in. My philosophy is to embrace you where you are, equip you with tools, coping mechanisms and knowledge, and empower you to take those tools and lead a fulfilling life full of insight to help guide you through life’s journey.

Each one of us has a story, uniquely our own, filled with the lows and highs- each complex in its own way. As you will hear many therapists say, it’s a privilege to be able to hold part of your life story and help navigate the lows and celebrate with you in the highs- and maybe even take the sigh of relief in the neutral, mundane moments. Many ask, “What’s your approach to therapy?”.  My approach is human-centered. I desire to meet you where you’re at and walk beside you as you gain insight into whatever it is that brought you here. That may look like using several modalities such as CBT, Family Systems, EMDR, and Attachment-based theories. My approach is uniquely tailored to you or your child.

Therapy for Children & Adolescents

I have a deep passion for supporting children and teens. Whether a child is navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, emotional regulation, or self-confidence issues, I use developmentally appropriate strategies tailored to their needs. My therapeutic style is playful yet purposeful, and I often incorporate:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Family Systems work

  • Attachment-based approaches

  • Play therapy interventions

I’ve worked in public and private schools, non-profits, and community mental health, and I love helping kids feel empowered and understood in a world that often expects them to be “little adults.”

Maternal Mental Health & Birth Trauma

Motherhood is beautiful—but it’s also messy, overwhelming, and life-changing. After becoming a mom myself, I felt called to support other women navigating the perinatal period. I help mothers process birth trauma, adjust to new roles, and find purpose and balance in the chaos of parenting.

I am trained through Postpartum Support International and currently pursuing my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). I also bring personal understanding to this work, having navigated my own birth trauma. I integrate EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) with a focus on perinatal and birth-related trauma to help clients move through distress and reclaim their narratives.

EMDR Therapy & Trauma-Informed Care

For clients who have experienced trauma, EMDR offers a powerful, evidence-based path to healing. I specialize in using EMDR to address:

  • Birth trauma and perinatal distress

  • Childhood trauma

  • Anxiety and panic symptoms (children and adults)

  • Rigid patterns of emotional reactivity

Whether we’re using EMDR or talk therapy, I tailor each session to your story, your goals, and your pace.

A Bit About Me

When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me chasing my kids through Houston’s many parks, exploring new restaurants with my husband, planning our next family trip, or cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes (O-H!). I believe life is about connection—both to others and to ourselves—and I bring that same philosophy into my work with clients.
