Therapy for Adults, Teens, and Couples

Hi, I’m Alicia—I'm glad you’re here.
Life doesn’t always go as planned. Whether you’re facing something new or something that’s been building for a while, you don’t have to go through it alone. As your therapist, I offer a safe and supportive space where we work together—at your pace and with your goals in mind. My approach is grounded in trust, compassion, and collaboration. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel seen, heard, and accepted just as you are.

My Approach

I work from a culturally responsive and inclusive framework that honors identity, background, and lived experience. I understand that systems, community, and social factors shape well-being, and I strive to hold space for those realities in our work together. I tailor therapy to each person’s unique story, helping clients explore their strengths, build resilience, and move toward healing.

Individual Counseling

I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and chronic stress. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

  • Brainspotting

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

I also incorporate expressive arts and movement-based practices when helpful, offering creative ways to process emotions and connect with your body.

Mindfulness & Somatic Work

As a 500-hour trained yoga teacher, mindfulness and somatic awareness are central to my work. These practices offer accessible, portable tools that help clients manage stress, stay grounded, and build emotional regulation skills.

Couples Counseling

Relationships can bring deep joy and deep challenges. I help couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and deepen both emotional and physical intimacy. I integrate several relationship modalities into my work, including:

  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy

  • Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT)

  • Collaborative Couples Therapy

Whether you’re facing disconnection, conflict, or major life transitions, I work with you to restore connection and foster mutual understanding.

A Bit About Me

When I’m not in session, I love spending time outdoors walking my dog, relaxing on the porch with a cup of tea, and being with family and friends. I’m so happy to be back in Texas—enjoying the sunshine, great food, and a warm sense of community.

Alicia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Texas A&M University and her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
