A Warm, Collaborative Approach to Therapy
I understand the courage it takes to be vulnerable and reach out for support. It is truly a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, compassionate, and free of judgment, where you can show up fully as yourself.
Whether you are seeking clarity, healing, or personal growth, I strive to meet you where you are and help you move forward with greater confidence, insight, and connection.
Therapy for Individuals & High Achievers
There is something incredibly powerful about feeling truly seen and understood. My approach is warm, down to earth, and tailored to each client’s unique experiences and strengths.
I work with individuals navigating:
Anxiety and chronic stress
Depression and emotional overwhelm
Relationship challenges
Parenthood and life balance
Major life transitions
I specialize in supporting high achievers, including athletes, executives, attorneys, entrepreneurs, and business owners. Many of my clients are used to performing at a high level but find themselves feeling stuck in perfectionism, burnout, or constant pressure. Together, we work to reconnect with values, establish healthier boundaries, and create a life that feels both successful and fulfilling.
I also have a deep passion for working with helpers, including therapists, physicians, and caregivers. My research has focused on burnout, compassion fatigue, and helper patterns, and I provide a space where those who give so much to others can finally receive support themselves.
Couples & Relationship Therapy
Relationships are central to our wellbeing. When they are strong, they bring connection, stability, and joy. When they struggle, they can impact every part of life.
My approach to couples therapy is direct, compassionate, and grounded in deep respect for both partners. I help couples understand and shift negative patterns, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection.
I support couples in:
Healing from betrayal, including affairs
Improving communication and reducing conflict
Navigating addiction related relationship stress
Rebuilding friendship, admiration, and intimacy
My work integrates several evidence based and attachment focused models, including:
Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1, 2, and 3, as well as Treating Affairs and Trauma and Couples and Addiction Recovery)
Emotionally Focused Therapy
IMAGO Relationship Therapy
PACT Couples Therapy
Solution focused and attachment based approaches
With doctoral training in marriage and family therapy and decades of experience, I help couples move out of painful cycles and into deeper understanding, connection, and security.
Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations
I have over 20 years of experience conducting psychological evaluations and helping families better understand their child’s unique strengths and challenges. I strongly believe that each child is more than a diagnosis, and my goal is to provide meaningful, strengths based insights that guide real support at home and at school.
I conduct evaluations for:
ADHD and executive functioning
Autism spectrum differences
Learning differences and academic challenges
School readiness
Emotional and behavioral concerns
Gifted and talented identification
For adults, evaluations can provide clarity around how your mind works, why certain patterns exist, and how to move forward more effectively.
My research has focused extensively on ADHD, including non medication approaches and its impact on relationships and family systems.
A Bit About Me
Outside of the therapy room, I am deeply connected to my own family life. We split our time between Houston and our lake house outside of San Antonio, where we love being on the water, kayaking, and spending time outdoors.
I have been married for over 20 years and have two school aged children, along with a very lively group of pets, including a hound mix, a golden retriever puppy, and a British Red Fox Labrador.
I love traveling, coaching my kids’ sports teams, playing tennis, and exploring new restaurants around Houston and the Hill Country. I am a strong believer in creating meaningful experiences and finding joy in the everyday moments.
