As a counselor, I understand the bravery it takes to be vulnerable. It’s a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate life’s challenges, and I strive to create a space that is safe, compassionate, and free of judgment. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or personal growth, my goal is to meet you where you are and empower you to move forward.
Therapy for Individuals & High Achievers
There is something incredibly empowering about feeling truly seen and heard. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and tailored to each client’s unique experiences and strengths. I work with individuals facing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress from parenthood, work-life balance struggles, and major life transitions.
I specialize in supporting high achievers, including athletes, C-suite executives, attorneys, entrepreneurs, and business owners. Many of my clients find themselves stuck in perfectionism, burnout, or chronic stress, and I help them reconnect with their values, set boundaries, and cultivate a fulfilling life.
I also have a deep passion for working with helpers, such as therapists, psychiatrists, doctors, and other caregivers. My research has focused on burnout, compassion fatigue, and helper syndrome, and I provide a space where those who give so much to others can receive support without fear of judgment.
Couples & Relationship Therapy
Relationships are at the heart of our lives. When they are strong, they bring love, support, and connection—but when they struggle, they can impact everything. I have a relaxed, direct, and compassionate approach to couples counseling and view it as a privilege to help couples change negative cycles, rebuild trust, and strengthen their emotional connection.
Through my extensive training in relationship and couples therapy, I help couples:
Heal from past wounds, including affairs and trauma
Develop effective communication strategies
Work through addiction-related struggles in relationships
Rebuild friendship, admiration, and intimacy
I incorporate a variety of relationship modalities, including:
Gottman Couples Therapy (Completed all 3 Levels plus Gottman Treating Affairs and Trauma & Couples and Addiction Recovery )
PACT Couples Therapy (In process of Level 1 training)
IMAGO Relationship Therapy
Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT)
Solution-Focused and Attachment-Based Approaches
My decades of experience, doctoral training in marriage and family therapy, and extensive research in couples dynamics equip me with the expertise to help couples heal, reconnect, and cultivate stronger, more resilient relationships.
Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations
I have over 20 years of experience conducting psychological evaluations to help parents better understand their child’s unique strengths and challenges. I strongly believe that a child is more than just a diagnosis, and I work to provide insightful, strengths-based recommendations that empower families.
I conduct evaluations for:
ADHD & executive functioning difficulties
Autism Spectrum Disorders
Learning disabilities & school challenges
School Readiness
Emotional & behavioral concerns
Gifted and talented evaluations
For adults, an evaluation can offer clarity on how their mind works, why they struggle in certain areas, and what strategies can help. My research has focused extensively on ADHD, its impact on marriages and families, and non-medication interventions.
A Bit About Me
When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, and embracing adventure. We split our time between Houston and our lake house outside of San Antonio, where we love boating, kayaking, and exploring nature. I’ve been married for 20 years and have two school-aged children, along with an extremely active hound dog mutt, an energetic golden retriever puppy, and a British Red Fox Labrador Retriever.
I’m a huge believer in the power of experiences and love traveling, coaching my kids’ sports teams, playing tennis, and checking out the best restaurants in Houston, the Hill Country, and San Antonio.
