Compassionate Support Through Life’s Challenges

You deserve support, and you are stronger than you realize. Sometimes, it simply takes additional reinforcement to help us remember who we are.

My own life experiences are what led me to a career in counseling. Those experiences provide me with perspective, empathy, courage, and compassion as I walk alongside clients through difficult seasons of life. Together, we will work to uncover the root causes of your struggles while building a healthier, more stable present and future.

I believe healing begins with understanding. Through Insight-Oriented Therapy, we explore how past experiences may continue to influence your emotions, relationships, and behaviors today. While this process can sometimes feel uncomfortable or challenging, examining the patterns that negatively impact your life can create meaningful and lasting change. By gaining deeper insight into your feelings and behaviors, you can begin replacing unhealthy patterns with healthier ways of thinking, coping, and connecting — allowing you to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Couples & Relationship Counseling

Relationships can be deeply fulfilling, but they can also become strained under the pressures of daily life, unresolved wounds, and unmet expectations. In a world focused on immediate gratification, it can feel easier to walk away when relationships become difficult.

When we bring past experiences, trauma, unconscious expectations, and everyday stressors into a relationship, even the strongest partnerships can begin to feel draining. Love, admiration, and connection may fade beneath conflict and disconnection.

Sometimes, having additional support can help couples better understand one another on a deeper level and navigate difficult seasons together. My goal is to help couples improve communication, deepen emotional understanding, and rebuild the connection that brought them together in the first place.

Counseling for Teens & Families

In addition to working with adults and couples, I am passionate about working with teenagers. Adolescence comes with a unique set of emotional, social, and developmental challenges, and many teens are left feeling unheard or misunderstood.

As adults, it can be easy to respond with “I’ve been there before,” but true connection begins with deep listening. I focus on understanding what teens are experiencing in the present moment and creating a safe space where they feel genuinely heard and supported.

By leaning into their experiences with empathy and curiosity, we can build a trusting therapeutic relationship that helps adolescents navigate the exciting, uncertain, and sometimes overwhelming transition into adulthood. These years are incredibly formative, and additional support during this stage of life can help both teens and families function more smoothly and confidently.

My Therapeutic Approach

I primarily utilize:

  • Insight-Oriented/Psychodynamic Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Gottman Couples Therapy techniques

However, my most important goal is to meet clients where they are. I tailor my therapeutic approach to fit the unique needs, goals, and personalities of each individual, couple, or family I work with.

Outside the Therapy Room

When I am not in session, I am usually hauling my children to school, dance, soccer, or Taekwondo. I have three children, a husband of over 10 years, and an extremely stubborn English bulldog. I am also a proud LSU Tiger and enjoy attending LSU football games whenever I get the chance. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, attending concerts, traveling, hunting, and trying anything new and adventurous.
