January Position of the Month: Kiss Me Quick

January’s highlighted position of the month is the Kiss Me Quick.  A sexual experience is a wonderful time to emotionally connect with one another, but it can also be a great time to release some physical energy.  Before initiating this experience, I recommend doing some light stretching together to help avoid injuries and/or muscle cramps that might arise during a sexual experience.

This is a great position for those that enjoy an intimate sexual experience and/or desire to maintain eye contact during a sexual experience.  Ideally, you and your partner would try out this position on a soft surface, like a bed or laying on a soft blanket on the floor.  The penetrating partner will sit cross-legged on a soft surface.  The partner that is being penetrated will sit on top of their partner’s lap, so that both are face-to-face with one another.  The partner being penetrated will wrap their legs around their partner’s body (much like Lotus Position).  The sitting partner can also help to support their partner by holding onto their partner’s waist and thighs.  Once penetration has occurred, the partner being penetrated will engage their Kegel muscles.  The two of you will work together to create a thrusting/Kegel pace that is pleasurable for you both.  For this position, you both will want to start slow and stay slow – this is a tantric position and is not meant for fast-paced thrusting.  For the penetrating partner, this position will work their biceps, lats, core, and adductors.  For the partner being penetrated (sitting on), this position will work their traps, lats, and arms.  Once in this position, try holding it for 5 to 10 minutes.

Since this position is intimate and leans towards tantric, try to get as comfortable as you can.  I still recommend being conscious of foreplay and be sure to have lubrication on hand.  This can be especially important when trying out a new position that is not as routine for you both; plus, it is always nice to have lubrication be a grab away, versus realizing you are completely out!

Here’s to trying out something new together in the new year!  For more information for this specific position (including image) can be found on page 143 of The Kama Sutra Workout, and this book can be purchased from Amazon here.
