February Position of the Month: Heights of Sextasy

The highlighted position of the month is here and as many are, you and your partner(s) might really be in need of connecting!  As usual it is recommended that if you or your partner are not feeling well, you might consider delaying sexually engagement until both feeling up to par!  As a continued healthy sex practice, please wash your hands before and after a sexual experience.  If it helps you both to feel more comfortable, start your shared sexual experience by taking a shower together!

February’s highlighted position of the month is Heights of Sextasy.  While a sexual experience can definitely aid in feeling emotionally connected with one another, it is also a great time to get your blood pumping and release physical energy together.  Remember that a sexual experience will release Oxytocin and other beneficial endorphins that will help you both feel bonded to one another and release stress/tension.  Start any sexual experience by doing some light stretching together to help avoid injuries and/or muscle cramps that might arise during a sexual experience, as this is still the most common sexual injury.

Ideally, you and your partner would try out the Heights of Sextasy on supportive waist-ish height surface (such as a counter in kitchen or bathroom or even on top of a washing machine).  The penetrating partner will stand facing their partner.  The partner being penetrated will also face their partner while sitting on the raised surface.   The partner being penetrated will wrap their legs around their partner’s waist and lean back.  This same partner can also hold on to their partner’s upper back for support.  The penetrating partner can also help to support their partner by holding on to the outside of their thighs – plus this also helps to ground the penetrating partner to be better supported for thrusting.  The penetrating should be able to easily penetrate their partner at this place.  Once penetration has occurred both partners will work together to create a pace that is pleasurable for both.  This position has all the benefits of standing against a wall with one another without the added exertion of physically holding each other up.  The partner being penetrated is also welcome to try out different angles of leaning back, as one angle might be more pleasurable than another for both of them.  If the partner being penetrated is female, this is also a great position to try out some pelvic floor contraction (Kegel) work.  If the penetrating is male, this position can easily be altered by having the partner being penetrated lean over the raised surface (instead of sitting on top).

For the penetrating partner, this position will work their glutes.  For the partner being penetrated, this position will work their biceps, core, glutes, and adductors.  It is recommended to try this position out for 5 to 10 minutes.

I hope you and your partner are able to carve out some specific time to engage emotionally and sexually with one another.  Maybe this is something to cue into your Valentine plans!  For more information for this specific position (including image) can be found on page 218 of The Kama Sutra Workout, and this book can be purchased from Amazon here.
