Quarantine Creative
Written by Michele Dial, M.Ed, LPC
We live in a social society. We live in an era of being busy. All. The. Time. Developing technology allows us to do a million things at once. We can send a text, order dinner, and check out at the grocery store all while taking a phone call and tending to a child. As we have continued to expand the idea of multi-tasking and operating at lightning speed, we are starting to see that this form of existence is not sustainable. We will crash.
Enter COVID-19 and the subsequent quarantine to bring our frenzied lives to a screeching halt. One might imagine that a slower pace would be a welcome change, and perhaps it was for a while. Now, close to four months into this unprecedented time, the newness has worn off. If you are growing weary of your four walls and newfound slower pace, here are some ideas to help add interest to your days in quarantine. Some are free; some are not, but worth the investment. This list is by no means exhaustive, but I hope it gets your creative juices flowing. Here’s to staying safe and making the best of our current reality.
